# LeanIT Services Pricing

LeanIT Services prices against the problem, not a fixed menu or a rate card. Every engagement starts with a free discovery call, and the price follows directly from what that call uncovers.

## Step 1: Discovery Call

- Price: Free
- Length: ~30 minutes
- What happens: understanding the specific outcome you need and how the process works today. No commitment to proceed, no cost either way.
- What comes out of it: a sense of scope, whether this is a well-understood, contained task, or one that touches a wider process needing proper mapping first.

## Step 2: Price follows scope, not a flat rate

The 30-minute call determines which of these you're in. The same engagement can start at either end depending on what's actually found:

- **Narrow, well-understood task**: e.g. a month-end process currently run by hand in a spreadsheet, taking hours every cycle. The pain is contained and easy to see in one conversation, so this tends toward a fixed, fairly low-cost quote, with minimal extra discovery needed since most of the pain is removable quickly.
- **Wider or less-understood process**: e.g. reworking how invoicing works end to end, where the real bottleneck isn't obvious yet. This needs proper process mapping before a fix can even be designed, so the quote is higher and reflects that extra discovery work, agreed upfront before it starts.

Either way, nothing is charged for the assessment itself, only for the mapping and build work once scope is agreed, split 50% upfront and 50% on completion for fixed-fee evaluation work.

## Step 3: Standalone Build or Managed Service

Once the outcome is designed, you choose how it's delivered:

- **Standalone Build**: a fixed quote for a solution you run yourselves, whether that's the full fix, the piece that solves the biggest pain first, or just the design work. Handed over once tested; support can be added later.
- **Managed Service**: a build fee plus a fixed monthly fee, where LeanIT designs, builds, hosts, and maintains it long-term with 24/7 monitoring. Both figures are calculated against the quantified ROI the automation delivers; if a proposed build can't show a clear financial or time return, it isn't built. Minimum term 12 months, then flexible.
